Did your Gramma teach you? "If you can show it, you can share it!"

Make sure that she wears something underneath it. tights with a skirt would be ok but just the skirt is giving your daughter the wrong message. Tights. Not pantyhose. I'm talking some real thick can't see nothing through them dark colored tights girl!

And if it's somthing you wouldn't wear to church on sunday yourself, you shouldn't really be puttin' it on your child so I hope you're not a ho.

At 8 I would have to say no. There are to many weird people out there in the world and plus at 8 she might forget she is wearing a mini skirt and do stuff she shouldn't in one.

I wouldn't, just like I wouldn't let my 16 year old wear a mini skirt. I believe in them dressing modestly. Even when my girls wear a longer skirt to school I have them wear shorts under them for when they play at recess etc.

um, depends how short it is... if it barely qualifies as a miniskirt, it should be fine, but if it's a very short one, maybe not, and the biggest concern would be that if she's exposed like that, sure boys her age wont be thinking much or pursuing anything, but child molesters might. So the less they can see the better. We don't want them to get any disturbing ideas. But once she's in Jr high, i think it would be okay to allow her to wear such things, but not at school if it breaks dress code. The way i see it is, if she's old enough to carry pepper spray and use it responsibly, she's old enough to wear fun clothes.

I'd advise against it, not just for the fact that wearing a mini skirt can be... dangerous, but because you don't want to raise her to wear that kind of clothing consistently.

Once in a while is fine, but only when she is older (and even then, you should raise her to not wear it then).

Modesty is the best policy.
Perfect time to teach her that the positive attention she wants will not be from wearing a mini skirt

Be careful. You don't want your 8 year old looking too grown up or too sexy. A mini-skirt with tights is adorable for fall and a bit more modest.

You shouldn't let any child under 12 wear anything that short and revealing. It sends the wrong messages to teachers, caregivers, and other children. It'll open your daughter up to all kinds of abuse at home, school, and the playground. Don't let her wear a miniskirt.
