Given that the vast majority of greyhounds bred for racing are killed, you'd definitely be in the majority. That doesn't make it the right thing to do though.
If you really must kill it, at least have it done humanely - by a vet. They do however make really good pets. I know - I have one. A better idea would be to hand it over for to one of the many rescue organisations so it can at least be given a good home.
Don't get another dog for racing either, you clearly have no idea what you're doing in that field, so your next one will probably not be successful either.

Having trained racing greyhounds for years, you need to send this dog back to the farm for a lot more training. Then start back with schooling races and eventually bring him/her back to the track. If that doesn't work, contact the greyhound rescue society. DO NOT put this dog to sleep. Greyhounds make wonderful pets. and contrary to popular opinion they do not kill cats, small dogs or ther small animals.

What dont kill it ... you dont deserve to own a dog if you think like that ... there are plenty of greyhound rescue groups wholl find a loving family for it !!!

You shouldn't own a live animal if you think like that. There are greyhound rescue programs that will give the dog to someone who will love and treat it right. This makes me so sad.
