An airport is listed as international by it's flights to and from, not by the runway lengths. The runway lengths however, DO make a difference in taht the larger planes need longer runways.

Here is a fascinating site where you can get the runway lengths of any runway of any airport in the world.

On average 10000 ft (3000 Metres), but depends on the airport and what sort of planes it takes. Some of our airfields we fly in to are around 2400 M (7000 ft) which is fine for an Airbus A320, some like Singapore are 4000 M (12 000 ft) which is good for practically anything.

A fully loaded 747 requires about 10,000 feet. In reality it doesn't need anything close to that but to compensate for slick runways in rain and snow and to allow an aircraft to abort a takeoff if an emergency occurs during the takeoff roll the performance charts will require something close to that. Lighter aircraft need a lot less.
