Displays of ignorance beget rudeness. Look at the way you ranted on and on about this. One of your complaints is also one of mine...Spelling and grammar!
Your complete lack thereof hits me like an insult. So, an eye for an eye. You ask for disrespect, you get disrespect. Is responding in kind any more rude than you being rude in presenting your question? I think not.
You cannot even measure the trials and tribulations I've experienced in my lifetime. My lifetime is probably 4 times what yours is, and has been filled with events that would send most people screaming to the rubber room! Therefore, I believe that I've seen enough to say what I mean, in the way I mean it. If you consider that rude, then read on!
When you cannot converse face to face, then impact is important. It's why 'netiquette' was created. The use of CAPS indicates yelling, etc. Well, when you need to make a point poignantly, then you need a strong opening statement. Is that harsh? Perhaps, but none less so than what I would say to you 'up close and personal' I can assure you.
If you've been out whoring behind your husband's back, I'll call you a whore. If you are thinking of bearing a child out of wedlock, I will call your child a bastard. If you're stupid, then I'll call you stupid. There is a huge difference between stupidity and ignorance. There is a cure for ignorance. For stupidity, there are only strong words delivered un-minced.
However, I do not leave the scene without some long, thought-out explanation. I do not answer questions with one-liners. I am sincere in the statements I make, and have never regretted a single one of them.
Evidently, the people who post the questions I respond to manage to cut through the spice, too. I have reviewed the numbers, and I am ahead of the curve when it comes to percentage of answers chosen as best answer.

Wow! Now don't think I'm rude, but if some internet jerk on Y! answers can get you that worked up, you probably need to take a break from Answers for a while. It's really not worth your emotional well-being, and it's certainly not worth stooping to their level by posting a "you people s*ck and should die" type of question (which is, by the way, against the community guidelines.)
If you want serious answers to truly important questions, you should look elsewhere than a general community internet board. And if you DO decide to ask questions here and get rude answers, you need to report it to Yahoo instead of launching an online rant that just opens you up to more ridicule.
Good luck and I hope you feel better soon!

Maybe they are taking out their frustrations on the web. On the other hand, they might be getting their jollies when they read your complaint. I sincerely don't know. You could report them or you could get nasty right back. I did and got violated. So, now I word my insults very carefully.

A lot of children inhabit this space...don't take it personally, dear. A lot of us actually put some thought into this and have the desire to help people.

You tell them, most of the peep's are mean and rude like you said...Mostly just brave because you can't see them "face to face" and they know it.
