i've been going out with my boyfriend about 2 years and 8 months. our relationship has been great but everytime we make a date it falls through. if we set it up at 6 he will call me like at 8 saying he is running late, all the time. sometimes he even leaves me ready with nowhere to go. like i said we have great communication and i know he loves me but i dont feel like i matter enough to be his top priority due to the fact that other guys do come through at the time they say they will. what is wrong with him? what can i do?

Trust me on this. . .. well maybe not! If he was anything like me when I was younger it is 'cos of two reasons : he is with the guys and having a great time and just sort of loves to push the boundaries or he is busy working and just loves to do a little bit more. Either way it is wrong BUT if you have been in a relationship for that long and you don't have worries that it is because he is seeing another woman, you can resolve this. Unfortunately it involves you being a little stricter on him. He has to learn to respect you more and that doesn't mean that he doesn't have feelings for you, he just has to put things in perspective and learn where he wants to be. Tell him you will not accept this behaviour anymore and if he treats you like that you will go out with your girlfriends. Book yourself up for two weeks in advance and DO NOT let your girl friends down .If he begs to see you just tell him you will be available in two weeks; Give him a day; Give him a time. I promise you he will be begging on his knees to see youafter a few days. DO NOT do this. Hang it out for the two weeks and it will never happen again. If it does .....just repeat above!
If this doesn't bother him he has somebody else

He's probaly waiting 2 see if he gets a better offer for the evening or finishing with the little girl he's cheating on you with.... if he doesnt show or call he got a better offer ( in his mind).... dump the JERK he's cheating on you!!!!! you are waiting on him and he will keep you waiting as long as you let him walk on you..... true ladies dont deserve to be treated as sperm banks , which is the only reason he keeps you around !!!

Because some people just won't change....thy'll ALWAYS be late...
if you tell him to meet with you in 8:00 you will come there in 8:15 (or later, depends who much is he late)

Personally, I think that is a lack of respect for you. He should know how much that affects you and that you don't like that. He should respect your feelings and improve himself. You are worth getting picked up on time.
