I stopped going to church 2 years ago because I see so many things in church that makes me ill to see it go on week after week. But, since I've stopped going there has been a negative change in my and my wifes spiritual walk. We need fellowship, but are there alternatives other than church. Are there fellowships out there that are genuine and not cultish that teach Gods Word with balance and not set up as an one man show, teaching traditions which are not biblical. WE have teens and they need good christian fellowship as well.

Look for a Fellowship Church. I attend one in the delta, so it is properly named Delta Fellowship Church! Check out website and look into one in your area. They teach the bible, and do not rely on salvation sermons every Sunday to keep people coming. We also attend bible study groups in each others homes. I moved to this church from a missionary baptist church. It has changed our family's life for the better.

Visit churches till you KNOW you have found your church home.

You go to church to worship God. You don't have to worry about other people, what they do, what they think, what they think of you,..ya know?
You need to find a church that preaches the gospel of Jesus Christ.
I wouldn't take back my old life for all the money in the world--Church is where it's at!
My husband and I are there every time the door opens. Get in a choir. Help with children's choir season. Just VOLUNTEER the talents God gave you. NOTHING will make you happier!!

Have you looked at a Calvary Chapel?

Edit: there are at least 10 in OK. and ARK.
their web site is www.calvarychapel.com try them They have maranatha type music, and verse by verse Bible study. Calvary Chapel is well established and stable, they are the more conservative offshoot of the old Jesus movement from the 60's and 70's. They like praise-like worship, but they are not charismatic.
