Do you have to tell them? Go and get a job. Why should that be their problem or concern? As long as you accept the consequences of your decision, and take care of yourself, you don't have to tell them about it. If they mention it some time, you might just casually say, "no I didn't actually graduate, I decided to do something else instead..." Why make a big presentation out of it?

Just go in the house a complete nutcase(drunk, rolling around on the floor, speaking in tounges--j/k) and start hitting yourself....throw up on the floor and then they'll be more mad that you got drunk and puked on the floor then that news.....
