According to my version, Jesus did not really need to die,but was in fact murdered by ruling class Jews who manipulated the Romans, these Jews wanted Jesus dead and out of the way, due to professional jealousy. The untimely death of Jesus belongs to the fact he brought the truth to the people. This truth was in opposition to the prevailing beliefs and tradition of the time. The only way Jesus could possibly save anyone was if he could resurrect himself,or be resurrected by a higher power, thereby showing his power over life & death, and the ability to bestow eternal life to whom he wanted to.So quit trying to kill him continually with these cruci-fiction scenes, and just hang a little empty tomb around your neck,to be accurate.Only a pagan religion requires a human sacrifice! He diedspent 3 days in the tomb{sign of Jonah}went to the father to plead for your pathetic lives, then sent the holy spirit down as a comforter. He would have saved and cured the world before death had he not been KILLED

Jesus died for our sins. He knew that he was supposed to die! He was the one who told Judas would betray him. He knew his purpose. What people don't realize that when things look bad, God still has control over the situation. Sometimes bad things happen for a reason. People blame God for bad things sometimes But if something Good happens we look and thank the man that did it. but it's not Man that did it God did! So take in consideration that Jesus knew his purpose before the jews knew they were going to have him killed. But Jesus was put on the Earth for God to understand the people, that's just one reason why He was here. there is a bigger picture than just he was killed and he was a good man. He was and still is a Good man but he also is our "lawyer" in a way for our lives. you have to be able to not look at the surface of what happened and what was done but the out come was a chance for all of us to be forgivin for sins that we committed or didn't even commit yet! Look at the deeper point. i don't wear the figure on Jesus on the Cross. He's not on the cross anymore so i agree with you on that. But I keep in mind that he did die on a cross. Alot of other people don't know that the other sign for Christianity is the fish. The cross was adopted by Catholic denomination. Just another side note- Jesus was not the son of Joseph. He was The son of God. He was a Great Teacher and Loved all people! Mary was still a Virgin. Though she was technically Married Joseph and Mary never consumated the marriage before Jesus. some people believe that he was a Prophet but you don't believe when he said He is the Son of God! So you only believe what you want? Thats just a little weird to me! how do you only half believe? Just doesn't make sense!

1 - Your "version" doesn't matter. The Bible is the "version" that matters. When people make their own version they are supporting moral relativism. That boat sinks every time.

2 - He was murdered. They figured if you get the leader out of the way...the whole movement would fail.

3 - A more modern image would be to hang an electric chair around your neck. Catholics are the only ones who do this. But they are a wacked out group of Pharisees to begin with.

4 - Romans 6:23 says the wages of sin is death. Someone had to die. Jesus did it. He came to die. We dont deserve it but he did it.

It's okay to wonder about Jesus but in the bible he died for us and our sins. Not from them. He loved us so much that he was born to live and die and then rise again from the dead 3 days after confronting and taking his people from Satan. Jesus loves us so very much and never fails. It's time to stop questioning God and to start believing. That's what faith is. I know I can't see him but that's what faith is all about. Jesus was a perfect person. Plus I know there is a God because where did we come from then? And plus if we did come from some monkey way back when, (which we didn't by the way) then where did they come from. And their ancestors where did they come from? They weren't just there to begin with. Everything from sky to ocean had to have been created by someone. God of course. Check the Bible in Mark, and Luke for more info on the crucifiction. Like "Johnny Bravo" said, it was the prophecy. He could have done the complete opposite of what he said but he didn't because our human brains cannot even start to comprehend or understand how and why he did what he did. God loved us all, loves us all, and will love us all for eternity. That is why he did that. It also gives us a vision of how sincere he was and how much he cared and loved and loves us. Check the Bible again for more. Technically Jesus didn't die his body died and he, (meaning his soul) went to hell to work things out. I have accepted Christ and hopefully others will too. God bless! :D

Under the convenient of David, a lamb had to be sacrificed each year to forgive the sin of Israel. The lamb's throat was cut, allowing it's soul, the blood, to pour out on the ground and the flesh destroyed by fire. This was to be done until the Lamb of God came and gave himself as a sacrifice for all men. Jesus was a genetic copy of the man who brought sin into the world, Adam. By allowing his soul to be poured out onto the ground, followed by the destruction of his flesh. This fulfilled the Convenient, allowing for all men to be forgiven of their sins. If he did not die, than the convenient would not have been fulfilled. It also allowed him to demonstrate the second form of resurrection, to that of a spiritual being, whereas when he raised Lazarus, it was to a human life. Once ascended, he exist only in unapproachable light, which would blind anyone who sees him, as happened with Saul, who became the Apostle Paul.

You've overthought the entire process. Jesus was the only person (in the flesh) that could kill Jesus. He knew what His purpose was and that was to die to our sins after showing us the path into the Kingdom of Heaven. That was as the Father instructed and it fullfilled all prophesy.

Jesus could have kept healing Himself every time someone whipped him or struck Him down. He didn't have to wait three days to come back. He could have hopped down off the cross if that was the will of God....but it wasn't.

God has His way of doing things and they aren't always clear to us. Jesus's teachings, while pretty straightforward, weren't clear to many people. Believe that all things work together for good. God can take five bad things and stir them together and make something wonderful.

It was all planned from the beginning. Jesus knew that he was going to die that's why he did what he did. Next the religious elders didn't kill him because they were afraid of him they killed him because he said that no one could get to heaven but through him. You have to understand that at this time and place They only believed in God and any who came along and said that they were God, which is what they thought, was was a hieratic. They were so adamant in their beliefs that they would do anything to protect God and would not tolerate others trying to lead people away and into hell. At this point and time they could not fathom a son of God. After everything that he did i don't understand why but hey religion like politics is a very emotional subject.

The punishment for sin is death.
Jesus never sinned.
He took the punishment we deserved (death) and He imputed His righteousness to us.
When we accept Him as out Savior God sees His righteousness instead of our sin.

The only way all this works is if He accepts the death we deserved. Neither the Jews nor the Romans are responsible for the death of Christ, they were just playing their roles in the Salvation plan - the sins of all men are what nailed Jesus to that cross.

Jesus died for our sins and he never would have made it to the cross to die if he wasnt Gods one and only begoten son did you see the passion of the Christ they beat him so badly (it was actualy so bad you couldnt even tell he was human) he would have died long before making it to the cross he caried his cross for miles before making it to where they crucified him. God is a part of all of us and no one can tell themselves otherwise unless their not being true to themselves. If this strikes your curiousity pray and ask God to help you to see the truth pray and pray He will answer you he answered me and now I live a more meaningful life than I ever did with sin I have hope that one day I will see my savior and live an eternal life of love peace and glory in heaven with the one who loves me more than I could ever know trust me you dont want to miss out the sin of this world could never measure up to what God has to offer. God bless you!!! all these things just popped into my head so I dont know if it applys to your question but maybe it will help some one else.

Neither. He didn't die. He was resurrected remember. In other words, cured.

Death is a permanent cessation of sensation and conscioussness. Jesus never endured that. And he knew before he went to the cross that he wouldn't die, so he can't even be given credit for trying to die for us.

hmmm this is not a question -- it simply a whole mish mash of innuendos. if you ask a question you don't have to write a whole book about it..and explaining your way of seeing things that are "simply not there" -- I simply disagree with your Jesus story. whatever the Old testament states and/or the new testament states have to be followed up...with umpteen interpretations along the 2000 yrs. that passed by...simply re-hashing the recent movie on the same subject is not the answer to your very complex question. I suggest you take a course on modern religions -- at the university level..to have an open mind and understanding on the subject. it is simply too complex.
