I am a Christian, and it wouldn't bother me a bit.

That would only be a problem for those Christians who don't know their Bible. There are many Biblical statements that imply that God has other worlds with created beings inhabiting them. I don't know what they look like. I think much better-looking than Hollywood versions.
Your use of the term "planets" in your question is open to misinterpretation. Also, Pluto is no longer considered a planet.

I think you have your answer ... from the answers above you can see that you were wrong, it really isn't a problem.
I've always liked that line in the movie Contact when Jodie Foster says to the children "I'll tell you one thing about the universe, though. The universe is a pretty big place. It's bigger than anything anyone has ever dreamed of before. So if it's just us... seems like an awful waste of space. Right?"

Christian here with no problem in the dicovery of other life forms on other planets. I think it would be rather cool in fact. No where in the bible does it say God only made life forms on Earth. He made humans on Earth......but the bible is silent when it comes to other planets.

Why would other life beyond this mud planet be a problem? Of course it would shock everyone if intelligent life were contacted from out there, but hey, God created them too.

Well, considering aliens created us, that'd put a dent in the creationism theory. We are hybrids of aliens and the natives created through genetic engineering. The aliens were looked upon as "gods" with their superior technology, and thus we have being created "in god's image."

Who said that would be a problem? To think God created this huge universe, and put life on just this tiny spec of a planet is absurd.....

unfortunately... aliens would be faced with prejudice.. and attack from most of earths people. then of course.. the scientist..and researchers would threaten their existence. and unfortunately.. a lot of crimes..and mean acts..have been done by so called christians. hangings..burnings...prison camps... not that they were really christians.. but i personally would feel sorry for any outer space creature and came here expecting fairness. it aint happening.
