It's all good news with warning signs along the way. The good news is that Jesus died to save us from the penalty and the power of our sins, that He was raised on the third day and that He has gone to prepare a place for us and that He is coming back for all who will believe on Him. There is no bad news unless you count the fact that we have to live in this fallen world until He comes for us or we die and go to be with Him.
The only ones that consider the Christian message to be "bad news" are those people who love the darkness because they don't want their lives exposed to the light of God's truth and so they grumble and complain and make excuses and find faults so that they can continue to be the "god" of their own life who alone is qualified to determine what is right and wrong and how they should live.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. John 3:16-20

I myself don't believe in God but I do think there are some great morals and lessons taught by religions, not only the Christian religion. It depends on how people translate the messages and what the message they take away from their religion is. There are always fanatics who take it too far and use their religion as a reason to kill or put down others and their beliefs.

The Christian message is entirely good news. The only bad news in the message is for those that have not accepted Jesus Christ into their hearts.

lol it somewhat is definitely humorous! i became taking a adolescents progression type at school years in the past, and between the flaws it particularly mentions is to "on no account tell the new child 'wait until your father/mom gets residing house." whilst the instructor asked us if it ever befell in our residences, the girl next to me suggested her mom were doing it for years, yet her dad hasn't come residing house yet. we don't try this for the period of our residing house nevertheless. My son thinks the two me and Mr Dawna are the two evil.

I find it bad news because it makes god and jesus into what people's ego/human thought system thought god and jesus should be. And that's why we get god/jesus judging, rewarding, punishing, needing to be worshipped and obeyed, etc. The result is an immature and fearful mindset of religion where one fears god and does good to get a reward. Spiritual advancement where the self is worked on and reduced is missing; instead it becomes ALL about the self: guilt, trying to strive to make it into heaven to get an eternal reward, etc.

Bad news, especially when it is delivered by Rev. Jerry Falwell, blaming innocent citizens on 9/11 -- see the attached (bottom of page).
