In christian belief (base on bible), if a person dies his spirit will rest first in a place called sheoul (even abraham, moises is still in there) waiting for the DAY that they will be resurrected (FIRST RESURRECTION)
Acts 17:31 (King James Version)
31Because he HATH APPOINTED A DAY, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
-------
but the resurrected will not turn into angels but LIKE ANGELS (spirit)
Matthew 22:30 (New Living Translation)
30For when the dead rise, they won't be married. They will be like the angels in heaven.

I have never read anything in the Bible about turning into an angel so if anyone has a verse I would love to take a look.
I'm pretty sure angels are angels and people are people. When we go to Heaven take on a new resurrection body but that doesn't mean we turn into angels.
1 Corinthians 6:3 says "Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life!"
How can we judge angels if we are to become angels?

As far as I know Angels were created by God and he created different from us. They do not die and they do not marry. The Angels are numbered and there are categories of Angels. We do not turn into Angels when we die we just are judged and if judged wanting you do not go to heaven.

You can become an angel only when you save someone on earth, but you won't get your wings until a bell rings...
See the movie "It's a Wonderful Life", and "The Five People you meet in Heaven".

When you die you will become part of the bride (provided you are a believer). Angels as we know thwm are already numbered and have been in existence since before us. I believe they sometimes intercede on our behalf but I think they try to stay out of human affairs as much as possible and are mainly just watching us to see how this whole thing turns out.

If you pluck out a bunch of chicken feathers and glue them to your shoulder blades and jump out of a window, you just might turn into an angel right before you die. Of course, that might just be all of the blood rushing to your head.

Angels are entities unto themselves. No human ever becomes an angel despite what we've seen on TV and in the movies. Oh....Catholics ARE Christians. Anyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ, and Catholics do, are Christians.

You do not turn into an angel in either. Angels are separate beings than human....not ascended humans.
