The error sounds like one of compatibility with your DVD player or you are not converting the files (properly) to the right format. You can see your manual (on or offline) for the DVD formats that your player accepts. Otherwise, learn the proper conversion with the program you are using. The site below is the most comprehensive I have seen and of note I have no affliation with it. After a little knowledge and practice you should be whipping up DVDs in no time. Hope this helps.

A film DVD has a rigid file structure and menu system, in addition you have to satisfy the fact which physical DVD media that your player support.

burn them in proper format
like when u copy dvd dont just copy them
use nero recode option or use dvd shrink
DVD shrink u can download from afterdawn.com
and nero from nero.com
if u already doing this
then go buy one cheap progressive scan dvd player
because cheap brand dvd players are better than expensive one

You need to put it to a special format that will play on most DVD players.

The DVD is most likely encrypted from anti-pirating things.
