Sometimes situations compel you to do things you later regret. I was in an abusive relationship that I kept thinking I could "fix".
He was jealous and constantly accused me of things that had never happened. It got to a point where making eye contact with another guy was enough to set him off. I hurt someone and I truly regret it. He was a nice person and we had good chemistry but due my own situation, one that I refused to see for what it was I ignored him one evening when he said hi.
That was many years ago. I am healthy and happily married but will never forget the look on that mans face when I acted the way I did.
People change, situations change, time moves on. Things aren't always the way they seem.
No one else knew how mean the guy I was with was. He was charming and manipulative around others. Just be careful before judging. You might not know the whole story.

Yes I do-I had a best friend in High school and years later when I moved back to my hometown she acted like she never knew me. So now I act like I don't know her.

That's called the "brush off" or the "cold shoulder"
You won't like everyone you meet nor will everyone like you.
Hate is a wasted emotion that hurts you more.

Hate that a lot. And I always wonder, "how could you do that and feel good about yourself?"
But think about it....if they are ignoring you and you are not saying anything it's pretty much the same thing.
