It's a CARTOON!!!, for Christ's sake!

"South Park is an incredibly dangerous movie for those who do not understand or are developing an understanding of the Gospel ....... INCREDIBLY dangerous. Some of the scenes in South Park reminded me so much of the image of demons screeching and dancing around a boiling cauldron as Satan gleefully looks on from the background as the demons pitch soul after soul after soul into the burning cauldron.." - That is a quote from the article. Could the authoer exaggerate anymore ?

Oh goodness gracious... people get so worked up over nothing.

So a satyrical, wise-cracking, shameless cartoon took a swing or two at Christianity... let's roll over and die because of it! *eyeroll* South Park rags on everybody, atheists, Mormons, Christians, Muslims, Catholics, Scientologists, veggetarians, gays, metrosexuals, straights, conservatives, liberals, children, adults, the list goes on and on and on.

Take it with a grain of salt... or better yet, a whole salt shaker. Maybe even one of those great big salt wheels that guinea pigs love so much. The point is... stay calm. It's a television show. If a TELEVISION SHOW can shake you and your faith that badly, then YOU'VE got the issues.

Additionally, I feel I should address the alarming notion that this is somehow a CARTOON FOR KIDS.

It's.......... NOT. Of COURSE you shouldn't let your children watch this if you think they can't deal with a bit of coarse language and cartoon blood. In fact, DON'T let them watch until about 13 or 14. Oy... some people...

I don't 'thump' my Bible: I take pretty good care of it!!

I lost my sick mind a long time ago: but did regain some sense of humour… for things that are ‘Humorous’… which I do know: are different with each individual!!

So it’s a 'Cartoon/Comic'... this does not make it any less crude: rude: abusive: morally offensive: or blasphemous etc!! Especially of course: to the Christians among us!!

Would you still find the program funny: humorous: okay: morally acceptable, etc, etc, etc: if it was showing or speaking of: explicitly rape: murder: child abuse: 9/11: 7:7: US soldiers and torture… and it was these things they were poking fun at: or showing in a ‘Humorous’ light? If it was these things: ‘Your Children’ were watching, and talking about… especially using the same ‘Explicit’ language??!!

After all… ‘IT’S ONLY A CARTOON/COMIC’ is it not… ‘JUST’ a bit of ‘FUN’… where is your sense of humour!!!

DIFFERENT things offend different people… and each have the right to there own feeling: opinion: and comment!!! But some things just aren’t funny at all: even when put in a comic!!

just southpark? HA! this goes for almost every t.v show there is :P that is why television is mindless filth... actually... watching t.v, ur actually dumber than u were before u turned the tube on, really, im telling you the truth! it is all blasphemous! man made t.v and the jokes i laugh at! it is worldy and i am ashamed after i laugh because Satan would find it humorous also, and i bet that killer watches t.v all the time. and " for Christ's sake" ?? for the sake of Christ? how ABOUT FOR YOUR SAKE acknowledge what is wrong even if u part-take in it. don't try to justify something that cannot be justified just because u like it.i have watched southpark many times as well as other cartooms amd television shows, i laugh at the filth that is on there, but really, it isnt funny. now what is funny? what does God laugh at?

South Park is the funniest show on television. And the movie was a riot- "Blame Canada" was up for an Oscar, yet there were people protesting that it incited hatred.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Anyone who's listened to it knows it's about crappy parents, not about hating Canadians.

South Park has crossed the line on numerous occasions openly mocking Christianity and Jesus.

Does having a sense of humor mean not being offended when you were the direct insult of a joke?

If you were black and your new white boss at work came up to you everyday and said "Hey [NWORD] go get my coffee BOY!" and laughed and walked away, would you have a sense of humor about it? The 1st time it happened you would get pissed. The 2nd time it happened you would be on the phone with the ACLU.

The creators of South Park have the 1st amendment right polk fun at anything they want but there are 2 higher judges.....

A. The Court of Public opinion
B. God

Freakin' hypersensitive bozos. It's not a childrens program. No one with an IQ higher than17 believes it's a childrens show. It's irreverent and cheeky and vulgar and funny. If that's not your style, don't go crying to your preacher saying it's the work of the devil. It's just something that offends your frail sensibilities. GET OVER IT.

Yup, bible thumpers have NO sense of humor whatsoever. They assume because it's a cartoon, it must be for children, so they look at it as a vehicle aimed at children, which couldn't BE further from the truth.

And remember, they'll send out clips of movies and tv shows to members of their organizations... even the shows that the majority of them DON'T watch, just so they can get riled up and complain to the government. That's how things got this bad to begin with. It's a core group of people who don't know how to change the channel and not go to movies they might find offensive. They'd rather apply their strict moral code to the rest of us whether we like it or not.

WE MUST FIGHT THIS! UGH!

The cartoons of today are being used by satin to bind children's
minds before they even have a chance to make up their own minds.
It is a prov en fact that a child by the age of 4-5 years old have already
formed three fourths of their character. That is why satin through
religious brainwashing teach their children to strap explosives on
their little body's and blow their selves and INNOCENT bystanders
up with them in the name of Islam. The innocent people killed in the
crusades by Roman Church in the name of Christianity is of the
devil. No where in the Word of God does it tell you to kill someone
Because they don't believe like you!!

NO! People who believe in the Bible are probably the only sane ones around!
Anything, whether it be a cartoon or not, that is sinful, or depicts depravity is against God and the Christian should have no part in it! There can be no humor in such immorality!
