Apparently, the difference between dark chocolate and milk chocolate is the milk:
Plain dark chocolate: sugar, cocoa butter, cocoa liquor, and (sometimes) vanilla
Milk chocolate: sugar, cocoa butter, cocoa liquor, milk or milk powder, and vanilla
Since you're adding chocolate to milk even if you had dark chocolate syrup, you making chocolate milk and not dark chocolate milk.
My suggestion is to eat some dark chocolate with a glass of milk.

Couldn't you just melt dark chocolate and put it in milk?
Then you could make some for me, too :)
