I am a big nerd. I am famous for being the worst athlete in my school. Im about to go into high school and im wondering if anyone dates people like me in high school.

High school is bigger than grade school so you will meet more people like you who are intellectuals. I'm sure there are girls there that like a guy who has a big brain vs. having big muscles.

Do you know who Bill Gates is? He is the biggest nerd in the world, and oh by the way the richest man in the world! So maybe being a nerd is not such a bad thing. Do not worry that you are not jock. Just be yourslef and relax. Also remember that High School is a time of a lot of changes and bs. If you do not ake it to seriously, you will be fine.

Everyone has the ability to excel at something. Not everyone is an athlete or needs to be athletic in order to have friends and dates. Yes. There are many females who prefer men whose talents are intellectual, scientific. political, artistic or literary rather than athletic. Develop the art of conversation and show genuine interest in others around you. You may get MORE dates than the athletes!

People change in high school and I'm sure that you would too. Sure, you may not become an athlete but you may just create good friends. All I'm saying is that you should give it time. Make new friends and see what happens.

There are many opportunities for extracurricular activity in high school that don't involve sports. You will meet a more diverse group of people with interests that will match yours. You will find your niche. As for dating, try to meet people in areas of interest to you and then you have a built in ice breaker. Remember your education is the primary reason for being there. Relax. High school will be fine. Compete only with yourself.

Let me tell you something....... the minute after high school graduation- not a minute in that 4 years matters. Not the popular kids, not class rings, not your PE grade nothing. Don't sweat the small stuff, and if you find another nerd that likes you for who you are than be happy yourself......

In honesty, you'll have a better time in college (if you pick the right school and major) and the real world. High School seems important at the time, but, later in perspective, you'll realize how insignificant it was. Be yourself, don't worry about a girlfriend. Just be open if one happens along.

Sweetheart, when you get in high school there will be SOO many girls in your situation that you will probably be the pimp of the nerds! Just be you, and don't change for anyone! But please remember that your education is what really counts!
