Here is the Way to enightenment: http://www.askdrsears.com/
Yes, we are all bad parents if we currently, or have ever:
*used a bottle
*spanked
*not put our babies in slings
*sleep without our kids in our beds
*not breastfeeding (this is the most heinous offense, redeemable only by a burnt offering of 50 lambs)
*not listened to and obeyed our childs every whim
*ever told our child "no"
*disciplined our children
*made them use the potty after their 2nd b-day
f*ed them anything but organic produce
*haven't taken them to a La Leche League playgroup
*don't have Dr. Sears' manual
Repent now!! Before it's too late!!

Does anyone know where I can get 50 lambs to make my burnt offering for using formula?

Good for you that know how to take a joke. Glad I could make you chuckle. This guy is a piece of work. A masterpiece. If you ever get extremely bored, peruse his web site, and read what he told this poor woman who couldn't breastfeed due to breast cancer, here: http://www.askdrsears.com/faq/ap10.asp

yeah, well, i personally do not want my children growing up and being "still on the tit-pampered-cry baby-extra appendage of my body". i have personally violated every one of those so called rules. my parents did it with me and i turned out just fine. if you ask me, going by those rules would produce a society of freakish serial killers. not only that, but anyone who thinks they know how to raise my child better than me can f*ck off.

although i do agree w/ 1happymom, i dont see where dr sears is "T" totally against formula, however, i do understand that there are ppl out there who take advice way too seriously, and there are ppl out there that think only they know the true answers... i'm sorry, but i'm not seeing where dr sears has commented so intensly on any of these topics.. yes, breast milk is best, it's natural, so naturally it's better, it didnt stop me from supplimenting w/ formula, and i wasnt able to nurse any of my 4 babes for more than 4 mos, at the most, so yes i did use both... i've spanked, disciplined, potty-trained at the earliest sign, hardly ever buy organic, only once have i "co-slept", never been to anything La Leche League related, never officially read any "manuals"- other than the all popular 'what to expect" w/ my first son... i did, however, love the sling carrier....

Well, move over in that handbasket because I am about join you. What else can you possibly expect from a doctor who is not only a male and has never birthed anything, but whose last name is also the first part of a department store catalog?

not really but when you find them could you email me because I've done most of them so I may need 50 myself lol. Funny how some can classify a bad parent without being a parent them self. Good luck :)

I know you're trying to make a joke, but this is an unfair representation of Dr. Sears' opinions. Hyperbole on the internet. Imagaine that.

O.k i read what he said to the poor mum who had breast cancer. It seems o.k to me. It says not to worry there are other ways to bond with your child and that formula is o.k and it is all said in a nice way. Are you sure you are not a lover and promoter of this guy? i think you just wrote this to make people visit the sites and encourage them to follow this guy (whoever he is I've never heard of him)

Oh dear now I need some lamb's too. No wonder my son had trouble with his ceramics class last year. Obviously I ruined his life.

Look, it's alright if you didn't breastfeed... Relax... Nobody's judging the oh so judgmental and bitter one.
And thanks... I just checked out your link. I guess I can't see what you're little tantrum is about... funny he even comments about how he isn't anti-formula. What was your point again???
