Well nothing wrong with a little "mommy time" and if this is what I choose to do with it and I am happy, then why not? No one person can dedicate every single minute of their day to their child or family. At some point you do something for yourself ( using a rest room or taking a nap) you find time for these things and pleasures of reading, playing games. So here is no different.

My sons are in their teens...as I type, one is out mowing the grass, one is vacuuming and one is reading a book for a book report. There are dirty dishes in the sink, Waiting for the clean ones in the dishwasher to be unloaded. Also there is a load of laundry in the washer...waiting on the ones in the dryer to be folded and put away. I'll have them take care of that when they are done with what they are doing now. It's EASY to find time for yourself when you spend extra time teaching your kids how to become self sufficient. My boys will make excellent husbands someday. They know how to work.

Its fine to have "alone time"...I am not on here all the time. WHen I am the kids are usually winding down for bed,and then I get them settled in for bed. Or I get on here when they asleep.

I spend time with my children and do things aroudn the house that need to be done. But then I am a human, and I can have some "me" time. As long as my children are being cared for.

God Bless

right now it is easy for me. I have a 1 year old. He does take a nap, and has a bed time. So, that is my time to do what I want to do. When he gets older he will be more demanding, and I'll have less me time, but that's ok.

my son is only 10 months old now, so it's pretty easy. however, i know it's going to get worse once he gets older and we have more children. i think it is hard for moms these days to find time for themselves and that they are unappreciated. i honestly think today's high divorce rates have a lot to do with how happy the mother is in the family.

well i have to make time for myself. i work full time have two kids, dishes, laundry, you name it. My kids go to bed at 8:30 (they are 6 & 2) and i have time to myself before i lay down. When you are a parent, you will understand that you need that little time to yourself.

I really don't mind a dirty house as long as it doesn't stay dirty. I clean, cook, etc when my daughter sleeps or when my husband takes over for me.
