Yes, an "ex-felon" can get a valid US passport. Just because of a criminal past, doesn't mean that you can't go on vacation for the rest of your life.

ex-felon? Once a felon always a felon. All US citizens can get a US passport provided you have the proper documentation.

Yes. As for being an ex-felon...we're ALL felons...some of us just haven't be caught...so don't feel too bad.
