What iron clad proof do you have that refutes that there is a God in the universe. And please do not start quoting biblical scripture because youve proven over and over again that you do not have a clue how to even begin to understand the bible (and assumptions that can be twisted that you take from the bible is not proof that God doesnt exist anyways)

well since you all are fond of giving a website for your ..umm proof ill do the same. And this guy is an ex - Athiest. That explains why God exists in a logical way. It will take some time to read enough to get some benefit but please read it. It has some of the typical Athiest counters to the belief in God and using logic tears the Atheist leaps of logic apart.. But my guess is you wont check this out because like most people your afraid to be proven wrong

And Ricky. im merely responding to some recent question posts ive seen that say showing a belief in God is unintelligent. because there is no proof that he exisits. You can not make a statement like that without Proof to the contrary so im asking for that proof.. Too bad ive not seen anything even remotely close to answer my question.

You are funny. first of all the New Testament was not 1/2 written by the same guy. I suggest doing a google search on "how books of the bible were chosen" and look at the sites that come up. the explanation is a long one and i cant type it all out here. And there are no contradictions. again youll learn something from the sites that come up when you do that google search. I also should mention that ive read much of some of the Atheist sites that talk about these contradictions. Much of which is falseified by taking Biblical Phrases out of context. The rest are explained threw the use of the man's law / God's law discussion that comes from verses in the Bible that it is right to follow the laws of your nation. I suggest doing a lot more research, actually read the sites that do not agree with the agenda you have now.. youll gain much more understanding.

Of course there is no proof that there is no God. You can't prove a negative. Can you prove that there is no Santa? No tooth fairy? No Zeus?
If you don't believe in Zeus and other mythical gods, you are an atheist with respect to all of those mythical gods. I believe that the God described in the Old Testament is just as mythical as Zeus.
I'm actually agnostic when it come to the broader question of whether the universe is a willful act of creation by some being outside of the universe. I'm just as mind-boggled as anyone how there could be a universe at all. But I don't find the answer that "God created the universe" helps me in any way, because it just leaves the even bigger question of "What created God?" If you answer that last question with "God has always existed", then I will counter back "why can't the natural universe always have existed?"
So I think the two questions of "Is there a God?" and "How was the universe created?" are equivalent and unanswerable. I'd love to know the anwer, but I am convinced that the explanations in the Bible are red herrings.

Well first off lets take the Bible it was REWRITTEN and changed by Constantine at the Council of Nicene. There are documented facts concerning this. He changed dates of celebration to suit pagan Gods they HE worshiped until his deathbed when he MAY have converted to Christianity. He saw that many of his soldiers were christian and saw the power he would lose if he did nothing. So he called together bishops and they came to an agreement as to what was in the bible and what wasn't. For more proof look for the Gnostic Gospels and see what they have to say.
Blind faith is scary Faith with knowledge and understanding can lead to great things. The Bible is full of contradictions. The Bible was also written 30 to 120 years AFTER the so called events happened ( New Testament) Old Testament stories can be traced back to older cultures BEFORE Christians warped them.
Never believe something until you understand what it is and ALWAYS question never accept blindly

Are you saying that God does exist and that this not just an assumption? Or is it just a matter of faith and belief that although there is no hard evidence of the existance of God or Jesus Christ, you are ready to believe in a God, because of the promise of salvation, heaven, and an eternal life in paradise if you behave and become a good boy. What are your proofs, show me a hard proof and I will believe in your god! We should not be the one on the defensive, because we are not the one that is trying to insist that there is a God. The bible cannot be considered an evidence because it is written by men. Atheist are not satanist, which is a misconception. We just refuse and cannot fathom to believe in a God, when we don't have faith to believe in a god who is a mere speculation. A person doesn't need religion to become a law abiding and a productive citizen. We know what is good, what is bad, and what is offensive to others. We do good deeds, help others, and become better people without the need of the bible. It's what you call common sense. Atheists are intelligent people who just refuse to believe in God and your silly fairy tale.

First of all skippy, I doubt you can spell exegesis, let alone perform it, so don't wave around your expertise in Biblical literature because most people that throw down an ignorant challenge like this use the King James Bible beause they think Jesus wrote it.
Second of all, you must have been asleep when they taught that a negative cannot be proven or that the person making the claim defends the claim. I'll demonstrate. Prove the universe was not created by a flying spaghetti monster! What proof do you have? And please don't start quoting scriptures because you Christians have proven over and over again that you do not have a clue how to even begin to understand the difference between myth, metaphor, analogy, allegory, folktale, poetry, prophecy, political spin doctoring and polemics.

Where's your iron clad proof that there is a God? The burden of proof is on the claim that requires an additional explanation. If there is no God, science explains the universe. If there is a God, science still explains the universe, and you have to explain God. God cannot be proven or disproven by any means because he is beyond the realm of science. You god also has no proof to support its existence. That is the reason I do not believe in your god.

I am not theist and I have no proof that God does not exist. What proof do you have that I can't understand the Bible? What proof do you have of the existence of God? What proof do you have that there isn't a teapot orbiting around Mars? What proof do you have that there are no invisible pink unicorns? I believe that there is a red bowtie flying around in KSDXX7 which is a planet in a distant galaxy far, far away. Can you prove me that there is not?

Who has Iron Clad proof of the existence of God?
Remember, it must be as Iron Clad as you wish an Atheists proof to be. I've met Christians who refuse the proof of an Atheist who refeneces scores of books; therefore, as scores of books is insufficient for a Christian, scores of books, or just One, are equally insufficient.

At this point, atheists present nothing as evidence.
Since there is nothing to be examined, there is no possible contradiction to be found.
No conclusion could be drawn regarding existence of "God". As such the evidence demonstrates the atheists' claim.
