Yes&No, they are nasty and feed on blood, and scratching can develop into infection. No , they don't usually carry disease.

I wouldn't think so. Bed bugs are in EVERYBODY'S beds, not just your baby's. They've been around forever, hence the advice:"don't let the bedbugs bite!" They are microscopic, however, and I don't think they have mouths big enough to inflict injury on anyone. Some people's beds might have more bugs than others. So if you're REALLY worried, get a new mattress--you'll feel better anyway!

bed bugs are extremely hard to get rid of. they cause small wounds from their bites that can get infected. would you want tiny bugs feeding on your blood while you sleep at night. yuk, do what ever you need to get rid of them ASAP
