Six cubits and a span
9 1/2 feet tall
1Sa 17:4 And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span.
Wasn't to tall for David though was he.

I'm not sure, very intruiging question. I don't think the Bible really gives many details to this, and thank you for being one of the only non-athiest questioners on this board. I have nothing against athiests, if you want to believe what you want, go ahead. But just leave my religion alone, and I will ignore your beliefs. I think that Goliath, compared to the average man that I have seen in a Sunday School program, may have been around what you said, 9 foot or so. It's hard to tell. Great question!
Edit: Oh, six cubits and a span? I don't think I ever noticed that.

The original KJV says Goliath stood "six cubits and a span". It depends on which "cubit" was actually being used to determine his actual height. Different countries had different standards of measurements, that were each called "cubits".
I've heard that generally, though, the "cubit" measured about 18 inches. A "span" was about the width of a man's hand, or about 4-5 inches. That would make Goliath roughly 9.5 feet tall.
Again, though, that is only an estimate.

Another fairy tale, have they found any bones to support the Bible's
claim that there was a tribe of giants? Nah I didn't think so, I guess I will have to go with the Goliath didn't exist theory. Nice story though!

4Then Goliath, a Philistine champion from Gath, came out of the Philistine ranks to face the forces of Israel. He was a giant of a man, measuring over nine feet tall!

standard cubit he would be 10.8 feet, lower forearm cubit he would be 6.75 feet. Some say 6.75 feet is not much of a giant, but look how short people were just 100 years ago. But I really like your question. Right up front you tell people you only want to hear your own beliefs regurgitated. At least your honest about it.

It's all fake. Sorry.
Perhaps Goliath was a powerful man and thus large in power, but no taller than a tall guy can be, like 7-8 feet tall or so.

Considering that Israelis are 5'7" -/+, Goliath could've been 6'9" -7'11" feet tall. That was then, question is, whats their average height now?.
