Does anybody know how to get new windows to open already maximized?

I am running XP, and it really gets on my nerves to open a new window in explorer and have it half sized, but, if you can change a setting to make them open maximized, I can't figure out how or where.

I ALWAYS maximize all windows as soon as they open. I NEVER leave them small or make them smaller. This does NOT make them open maximized the next time.

open just one window then maximize it then close it out then when u open explorer again it will be maximized

Justin D correct. Also, you can "Re-size" the minimized and it will open to that size the next time.
