Absolutely NO diet pills. I can't stress this enough...adults shouldn't take those things, much less kids. Please don't think I'm preaching because I'm not, it's just I'm a nurse and I've heard of so many horrible things (including death) that can happen from taking diet pills. The pediatricians where I work advise two simple things when a child needs to slim down: 1) eat less (just limiting soda and bread is usually enough) and 2) move more (just a little more exercise on a routine basis will make a world of difference). Good Luck & Congrats to you for being a concerned parent!

Not diet pills. I get the feeling that you are the one who is 13, so the best thing that you can do is watch your calories, exercise more frequently, and when you do eat, eat healthier. When you go out, ask if they can sub a salad for your fries. When you are at the mall, take the stairs instead of the escalator. Read labels religiously.

Good luck to you.

I would try something very simple since she is still young - weight watchers allows you to eat several things - just count the points. Please do not try diet pills everytime they market one of these there are side effects that were not expected.

never diet! especially if she is 13 because if she does, she'll have health problems later on. but if she is overweight, just make her not eat fat things and junk food, she should eat vegatables, fruits, fish but no fat and do lots of exercises, even walking will be good for her.
