If a guy flirts with you and acts interested for the most part. How do you know if he just wants to have sex with you?

If he's a guy, he wants to sleep with you. The question is, is that ALL he's interested in.
In anycase, if he's not willing to wait for five to ten dates, he wasn't interested enough. Give it a pass and move on to someone else.
Too many people have heard the "3 date rule." Even when I'm not really interested, I give a girl 3 dates to give it up. I think that's fairly common.

You really have to talk to him and see if the two of you are attracted fir more than just physical reasons. You should test him: Go on a date or something then if he asks you to have sex, say no and see what heppens. If he immediately loses all interest in you, then forget it. If he's willing to wait, though, and continue seeing you then chances are he's interested in more than just sex.

I agree with wildstar, tell him you won't be ready for sex for several months and see how he handles it. As far as I know that's the most effective filter.
