me this question. Is the diet too acidic? How much lemon juice is too much? (BTW, the Lemonade Diet calls for 6-12 glasses daily for 10 days of lemonade made with 2 Tbs of lemon juice, 2 Tbs maple syrup and a dash of cayenne each).

Lemon contains plenty of vitamin C, small amounts of some B vitamins and E. It also contains substantial quantities of magnesium, potassium, calcium and phosphorus, copper, zinc, iron and manganese. Vitamin C from lemon can be consumed easily from squeezing sour lemon on food. Lemon activates the immune system, is beneficial to the lining of the digestive tract and stomach, stimulates the pancreas and liver and relieves rheumatism and arthritis. Note: Lime juice can be used as substitute for lemon juice for its medicinal properties.

Lemon juice is good for an empty stomach. Usually people break their fast drinking a glass of lemon juice. As mentioned in your letter, you had the problem when you used the concentrate lemon juice brought from the supermarket, so stop the use of the bought lemonade and use the home made one. After your stomach regains its healing, you can continue drinking lemon juice. lemon juice daily on an empty stomach first thing in the morning, eliminates water retention and helps with weight reduction and keeps the system alkaline. Lemon contains phosphorus and one of its greatest properties is the ability to digest proteins.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!

No, lemon juice turns into an alkaline once it hits the stomach. I just finished the cleanse 4 days ago and it was the best thing I have ever done! I lost 11 lbs, but I also feel great. I have had chronic stomach issues for years (bloating, indigestion, etc); but it was nothing the doctor could pin down. I even had an endoscopy. I have had NO discomfort since I started it...and before it was daily.

no, i don't think it can hurt. stomach acids are some of the strongest acids known in the world, lemon juice is nothing compaired to gastric juice (made by the pancreas and secreted into the stomach)

What a ridiculous diet - if you want a safe fast way to drop a few pounds - do a juice fasting diet - it also cleanses your system at the same time!
It sounds way too acidic for me and an acidic body is an open house for cancer!!!
