I swear this is true!!
At the supermarket checkout today, the woman in front of me sent her 14-ish year old son off to get something she'd forgotten.
He came back with that "see I can be useful" look on his face and handed her a jar.
She "What's this"?
He "It's what you asked for"
She "Read the label"
He "French mustard"
She "I WANTED FRESH CUSTARD"

I give up. There was NO SPEECH IMPEDIMENT. Just a teenager being a teenager.
He, and his mum, thought it was as funny as I did.

so she has a speech impediment and we're supposed to think that's funny?
Or is it that he's hearing impaired...
either way, it's not nice to make fun of people with disabilities.
really rather rude, I wouldn't repeat this story if I were you.

The loveliest thing my wife and I ever heard from a kid was in a restaurant at lunch time.
At the next table was a mother and a boy aged about 6.
They hadn't said a word for at least 10 mintes when suddenly, out of the blue, and just when there was silence in the place, a little voice piped up,
"I'm being a very good boy, aren't I mummy?"

lol Reminds me of the time i was sent to the shops for some tomatoes by my mother, i was around 14, by the time i got there id forgot what she sent me for so using my initiative i got her a loaf of bread. Didnt go down well especially as the shops were only about 1 min walk from the house. How could i forget what she sent me for? Well at 14 my mind was on other things :)

LOL!! When I was about 10-12, my uncle sent me a few blocks to the store to get him chicken gizzards...I walked to the store and got a container of chicken livers and brought them back! I didn't know what chicken gizzards were. I felt like a huge dork!
