there are basically no rules that make teen relationships difffer from adult ones. you have to enter into it with a degree of maturity, respect, honesty, and all those things that make a lasting relationship. There are some adults whom are not qualified to be in a love thing, you have to be sure that whomever you choose to be your partner fits certain criteria. dont be so quick to jump into a relationship, a career will be alot more sutiable, especially just comming out of high school.

XXXXXXXXXXX I think it's difficult because this is the time when you're just starting out dating and you're just looking for a date to the prom or a serious high school relationship. It gets deeper after highschool and more maturity and responsibility sets in. Working, paying bills together, compromising on everything from what tv show you want to watch together to what items to purchase at the grocery store. Ofcourse it's more complicated than that I'm being pretty vague. Good luck hun. XXXXXXX

I'm a senior in high school right now but I'm dating more like a adult though. When you are seeing someone you're dating them non-exclusively which means that they can see other people and you do the same. It becomes exclusive when you guys talk about it and agree with it. When you talk about becoming exclusive it's deciding to make commitment to that person and it's to be taken seriously and not to be played with. That's just the way I'm dating though other people in high school might date differently than this.

Well as far as finding someone... its a lot the same. You find them in places you tend to be... work, social settings, the gym... whatever it may be. Every relationship is different for sure.

As far as... being theirs.. going steady.. however you want to say it... seems to me that in High School, your life is still dictated heavily by your family, like it or not. As lenient or strict as they are... probably the boyfriend or girlfriend isn't moving in! On the adult side, you're on your own. A risky proposition... hard to know if someone you're flirting with or dating will be good to live with day in and day out. Then again, there's nothing like the choice being yours.

I seem to have meet my man on a online dating serivce but it might not work for everyone. You can met people by going to a event that many people your age goes to or when you are in college you can find someone there. You don't always have to find a stranger. They might be at first but get to know them and you will be fine.
