Yes you can...just make sure the bread is closed tightly on all sides and chop the hot dogs and chili fine and put into the bread; then toast for a minute...you have to make sure the bread is secure or you'll have a mess!

I did not know that, but I learn from my grandfather that you can not make toast with butter and jelly in one either. My grandmother did not find it nearly as funny as the rest of us. She had to buy a new toaster.

I put hamburgers in the toaster all the time.
They are already cook, just the cold ones, you know leftovers.
