Let's say this guy that's flirted with you before, is now flirting with this girl. Let's say her names valarie and he's calling her val. He hardly knows her at all. And flirting in other ways. Kind of looks your way once to see if you're looking. I'm not saying for sure he's doing this on purpose but let's just say hypethetically that he is. Why would he do this to me? What would his motive be. I know you can't say for sure but anyone who's had experience or any guys that have done this. Why would you do this?

His motive is simple: He is insecure. People who flirt for the sake of making someone jealous are highly unsure of themselves. They don't feel they are good enough for you, or have enough to keep you, so they concoct all kinds of scenarious where it appears as though they are more appealing.
Truth be told; men do it all the time. It always comes back to haunt, however. If a guy is not secure in who they are, their 'fears' of losing the lady drive them to create a hyped up hysteria by flirting with others.
It never works. He will eventually fold like a cheap tent, tuck his tail between his legs, and run away to tell his friends how he "dumped you".

Okay so this has happened to me, sweetie, so I totally understand. The thing is, he wants to see if you're interested.
If you get jealous, he'll know that you're into him, BUT...don't get jealous..even if you do like him. Play it cool, make it no big deal. He wants to make a move on you for the most part, but he's not sure if you're into him.
Skip the drama and FLIRT. If you flirt with him,then everything else should be good with you AND him.

Well perhaps he's a moron. IF (and thats a big if) your theory is correct he may try to make you jealous because he is young and immature enough to believe that it will make you more interested in him if you think someone else wants him. Why even bother with someone like that? And what does it matter? He has flirted with you before, do you think that gives you some sort of ownership over him? I think you are over reacting, seriously.

May be he is looking to have sex with you and you want give in so he flirts with another to make you think he is looking elsewhere and then you would give in,don't go for it take it as some kind of cheating and dump him and find you someone else.
