It is the only time in history God attempted to reach man. Every other faith is mans attempt to be good enough to either reach god or become a god. Not to mention the fact that Jesus came back from the dead. Oh yeah, and how about the hundreds of predictions written hundred of years before His birth that He fulfilled???

I was born a Christian but once I realized the flaws in it I switched to buddhism. One of the problem with christianity is that the bible makes no mention of dinosaurs, and we have fossils proving that they existed. Funny, I think an all-knowing god wouldn't have been able to miss anything that big. But wait, dinosaurs weren't around when the bible was written, by a man. I am tolerant of the messages of all religions, and I think that in the beginning christianity was a great religion, but once it became organized the original messages of forgiveness and kindness were lost. Instead of forgiving someone else you got to be forgiven, and then we get the "get out of hell free" card that makes christianity so attractive today. The whole religion is just unrealistic, souls are created and then last forever, oh and lets not forget that a kind, forgiving god condemns people to burn in agony for all eternity, never could figure that one out. And that, my friend, is why I denied christianity. Oh, yes and Buddhism is a religion that focuses on self-purification and moral betterment, not becoming a god or getting to a god.

well i think a better question would be how can i ACCEPT christianity. christianity, its claims, its dieties (which include god and satan) are all manmade. its horridly obvious (you have to look at it psychologiclaly and culturally)

there are a few problems in your question that i shall try to work through

1. you say that every other religion is mans attempt to become god. all i can say to that is "what the hell". religions are made to answer questions that the people could nto answer (ie how did we get here).

2. it is not a fact. do you have any evidence that shows your jesus ressurected? do you realise that in your bible it states that jesus wil lreturn withink the lifespan of those who witnessed his ressurection? i dont think you know that. here we go again, the atheist informing the christian about the christians beleif system...

3. name one prediction thats come true.

the problem is that christianity cannot be taken seriously. christianity can be summed up in 2 parts, the first part is all the magic and fairy tales. the bible. the bible is a book written by man, its obvious. the book has many stories that were taken form other messianic religions (including pagan)

the second is the christian culture. a bunch of racist uneducated idiots who somehow have comeinto power (in the US) and are now screwing everyone over.

so in conclusion...how anc i ACCEPRT christianity is a far better question.

First of all, you are wrong. There are other religions whose "teachings" include their god or gods reaching out to man. And secondly, why would you believe some anonymously written book has any truth in it at all? There is no evidence for it. Perhaps you've talked personally with god? It is a myth. That is why people deny it. We don't live in story books.

Well at least I can spell Christianity. I am ready to hear from the christian god any time he wants to talk. I have never heard from him yet.
As far as the predictions go most of it is so vague as to fit several situations. Also the actual bible was not written until hundreds of years after Jesus death so you could manipulate anything you wanted in order to make it appear as though he fulfilled scripture.

If there was a god would he have not sought to help you spell his religion, Christianity, correctly?
I would be grateful for a source for your claim of the predictions that he fulfilled; even a couple would be good to know.
If doing a few tricks and fulfilling predictions makes you the son of god - is David Blane the 2nd coming? Actually there was David Copperfield - so Mr Baline would be number 3: no wait there was houdini .....

Nostrodamus wrote predictions. Sylvia Browne writes predictions. Many "prove" to be true if you are looking for a certain outcome. Prophesy, a Bible put together by church authorities long after (at least a century) after Christ walked the earth and the twisted rhetoric of radical christians are not FACT.

Additionally, your GOD gave us the ability to reason and to question things. I believe that if we didn't then he would be really disappointed in us.

Why should I accept something that has no proof of any of its dogmas. Just some old book tha was written by humans but we have no idea who they were and has been translated over and over again with parts changed or emphasized to suit which ever church.
Sounds silly to me.

What is ChristianLity? Is it anything like Christianity? Anyway, I'm Jewish and I couldn't be happier being anything else. Try as you might; you won't budge me from my Jewishness...try scare tactics; try anything. And if you mean biblical scripture predictions, they aren't worth the paper they are printed on.
