I met a great guy about a week ago and we have been hanging out alot and have gotten to know each other quite well. The other day for some reason he got on the topic of how I look. He told me that I am *SEMI-PRETTY* and that he rates me a 8 1/2 out of 10. He also said my *best features*are my hair and arms, I should also mention that he would rate me a 10 if i lost 20 pounds.I am very hurt and very confused...We aren't even dating and he's already judging me by my looks.....I seriously like him alot...But..I don't know what i should do....Please Help Me If You Can. Semi-Pretty? 8 1/2 out of 10? this guy needs to get a life. tell him to look in the mirror and judge himself before he judges you. My thought on this, dump him for someone who will put you on a pedestel just like I do with my wife.

This kind of guy who thinks that he's being helpful actually don't like himself that's why he puts down others regardless if it hurts the other person or not. Don't contact him again and if he contacts you don't answer. If you progress further in the relationship he will get worse and he will bring down your self esteem and as girls we do not need that kind of IMMATURE NEGATIVITY. Of all the other things in a womens life that we have to worry about this is one aspect we have control which is we don't have to take EMOTIONAL ABUSE. Getting rid of the losers will make room for the keepers. Your worth finding someone that respects your feelings .

Why are you setting your standards so low? How can you like a guy who has said these things to you. He is shallow and superficial. Stand up for yourself girl and act like you got some self respect. You have only been together a week, how is he going to treat you in a year?

XXXXXXXXXX Honestly I think you fell for the person you thought he was but now as you talk to him you're seeing his true self. If he's this bold with you and you don't know him very well, just think how harsh he will be when you really get to know him. I'd cut my loses no otherwise you are setting yourself up for a downfall. maybe he just fells so comfortable with you that he feels he can be honest, guys arent as sensitve as we are, especially when it comes to looks and weight,
i mean they call each other fat and ugly all the time right?
maybe he jsut considers you a friend, like one of the guys...?
