I take methadone for pain. And it works pretty good. I don't know what I would do without it.
I was kinda worried when my Dr. prescribed it because I always thought that just heroine addicts took it to kick.
So when I go to different Drs. and tell them all of my scripts I always tell them that I take it for pain.
They treat you different until they know what for.
Seriously. It's to bad but they do.
It was either taking the methadone or getting one of those pumps that they put under your skin by your tummy and have it computerized to give you some sort of pain killer, (I can't remember the name of it right now).
I chose the methadone. I just know that if I had the computerized pain thing that somehow it would malfunction and I wouldn't be getting any at all. I don't trust computers that much.

It's great stuff it works very well in reducing the withdrawals of heroin, in fact it knockes them right off. If I could stay on methadone for the rest of my life I could beat heroin, no problem...........Now the big problem how will you ever get me off of Methadone!
