The ice cream needs to be super hard; make sure all your "coating" ingredients are ready and the oil is medium high; move quickly when coating and remember to step back from the oil-it will splatter- also, don't crowd the pot, the oil will cool down too quickly and you'll have a big mess and possible fire on your hands!

Fried Ice-Cream is not really fried and It is easy to make ...

first you need to prepare the following mix, 1/2 cup of corn flakes, 1 Tbl spoon sugar, 1 tsp cinamon. Put this mix in a plastic bag and crush it to tiny pieces.
Scoop a good size ball of Vanilla Ice cream and roll it in the mix you prepared and put it back in the freezer, to be ready for serving when you want.

It's a ball of ice cream coated in a sweet granola type coating. It is fried for about 5-10 seconds at 375. Just long enough to warm the ouside.

They deep freeze it at a very low temp. Already prepared with the crumb mixture on it. Then, to fry it they just take it directly from the freezer to the deep fryer, and leave it in just long enough to make the crumbs golden. Which softens the ice cream to a smoother texture to eat, but doesn't give it time to melt...

Very simple. Take a round scoop of your favorite ice cream. Crush some corn flakes and coat the outside of the scoop (note, you can add sugar or a spice to the corn flakes if you would like to). Put in the freezer for at least one hour. Take out and submerge in 375 degree oil for only about 20 to 30 seconds. Take out and pour honey or chocolate syrup over it. Yummmmmm...
