LISTEN!!!!
No matter what you hear or what these "people" say.....THERE IS NO HEALTHY WAY TO LOSE 75LBS AND KEEP IT OFF IN 2 MONTHS.
The body runs on energy and burns energy to keep running. Calories are energy. You need to burn more calories than you consume. Here is a link on calories
http://www.fitwise.com/Calorie_Needs.asp
Losing weight doesn't need to involve crazy or extreme diets. It involes changing of a lifestyle. You need to cut out the junk food and start eating healthy things filled with protein and good carbs. You should eat about 4 or 5 small (300-400calories) meals a day and you can have as many veggie snacks as you want in between. Then you need to start exercising...even if it starts as just 10 minutes of walking 5 days a week and 2 days of strength training. You can always build from there. Cardio exersise is the fastest way to burn fat so don't skimp on this. Strength training will help you build lean muscle and boost your metabolism which will also help you burn fat faster.
Whatever you do don't let your daily calorie intake go lower than 1200 calories. Your body will go into starvation mode and actually hold on to fat cells because it thinks you are not eating enough. If you continue to starve (below 1200 calories) you will lose weight but as soon as you start eating regularly the weight will come right back on. You don't want to get into this cycle of yo yo dieting...it is unhealthy.
Changing to a healthy lifestyle takes work and motivation but YOU CAN DO IT!!!! Plan on shooting for losing 1 - 2lbs a week or
8 - 10lbs a month. Maybe a little more in the beginning but don't give up after a month goes by and you go a week without losing any weight. Change up your exercise routines to always keep your body surprised....if your body gets too used to the same routine you will get bored and your body will stop burning as many calories. Find things you like to do....swimming, hiking, bicycling, etc...are ALL GREAT FAT BURNERS.
These message boards are a good support group

YOU CAN DO THIS....DONT GIVE IN TO FAD DIETS THAT DONT WORK AND CAN BE DANGEROUS. IT WILL BE SO MUCH MORE REWARDING WHEN YOU ARE LOOKING GOOD AND FEELING GREAT!!

If you want to lose that much weight in such a short period of time, you should probably consult with a doctor first. The best way to lose weight is the simplest - work off more calories while taking in fewer calories. At the same time, if you exercise too much too soon you could injure yourself, so it's best to work your way up in workout intensity. If you're working out you'll also want to make sure you're getting the right fuel for your body. Definitely talk to your doctor.
In the meantime, try some simple steps: drink nothing but water, eliminate sweets, spend more time on moderate exercise like walking or biking. Depending upon your habits that may take you far. I know someone who lost 20 pounds in a few weeks just by cutting out soft drinks.

I'd go for Weight Watchers if you're in the US or Slimming World if you're in the UK. I'm a member of Slimming World and it's the best diet ever. I get to stuff my face with lots of 'free' food all day and night, I'm very greedy so it's great for me, I never have to be hungry cos there's always something for me to eat! I lost 15lbs the first two months I did this diet for, and I only wanted to lose 16.5lbs! Since then I lost a furthur 7lbs and I feel great! I've heard Weight Watchers is a good diet too, I never did it personally though.

first things first--75 pounds in 2 months is too fast! respectable doctors and nutritionist agree that 2-5 pounds a month is the best weight loss rate to achieve for 3 reasons:
1) you have a much better chance of KEEPING it off if you lose it slowly and
2) you won't suffer dietary deficiencies or metabolic problems and
3) the changes you make at a slower pace are more likely to stay with you throughout your life for a healthier you longer!
all those diets you mention are fad diets and don't work in the long-term, creating the yo-yo effect which is far worse for your health than just remaining at a higher, but stable weight. they are linked to major health problems like diabetes as well.
hope this helps!
