That God loves us so much that He sent His Son Jesus into the world in human flesh, the one who knew no sin, to become sin for us, so that we can be reconciled to God.

Jesus said: I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father but through me.

The central message of Christianity is that God IS!; that God created and unconditionally loves every one of us and that God made provision for a neverending relationship with God for whomever wants it.

That God is good (Holy) and we are not.

Man left to himself deserves and goes to hell. Hell is the just and righteous punishment for disobeying a sovereign God and for hurting others (which at least half of all sin does directly; if not all indirectly).

God didn't have to save anyone to be good. Because God is good; He has chosen for himself, a people that will escape the righteous judement to come. Why ??? Because if they are truly His they have judged themselves and seen that they are lacking the "holiness" required to be in the presence of the Almighty. It is not that God cannot bear us...it's that we (in this flesh tainted by sin) can't bear God's full presence. Salvation is by Grace (God's mercy) alone...not anything we can do to earn our way into heaven (penance, good works etc). We sin one little sin and we are dirty...unable to wash ourselves, it's like trying to take a bath in dirty water. God (who has never sinned) is the only one that can make us clean (whole) again. He gave of Himself through Christ the perfect life that was required to satisfy the laws of the old covenant...no normal man could have done it.

Christ was the greatest teacher that ever was; because, He is also the "right hand" of God (a portion of the invisible God in the flesh). He puzzled many with His parables and sayings..like.

Mat 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Mat 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

How can your righteousness exceed that of the Pharisees??? Only if you rely on Christ' and God's perfect righteousness, and not your own.

Why callest Him good???
because His name was (God with us). He didn't say He wasn't good He was asking why they called him good or in other words:

Mar 8:27 And Jesus went out, and his disciples, into the towns of Caesarea Philippi: and by the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Whom do men say that I am?

Love.
Jesus left us a commandment:
Love one another as I have loved you.
He qualified it:
By this the world will know that you are my disciples...by the love that you have one to the other.
