I find the best way to lose the weight you want and still look great is to join a sport. I'm a swimmer who absolutely loves to swim! It is one of the best sports to do and it gives you an all body work-out. Plus, at least for me, you can lose over 10 lbs in a couple months. It's so awesome! If you don't have time to join a sport try going to the gym and joining one of the free fitness classes.
You can still eat all of the things you like and look good too.
Also, if you have large plates you eat on for dinner try something smaller; trust me it works! I've lost over 40 lbs that way.

Eat natural colorful food, like green salads, yellow peppers, etc. Look at the nutritional labels and see what the ingredients are. Don't consume too much artificially made food with sugar, corn syrup, coloring.
Try not to eat "white" things like white rice, white pasta. Eat brown rice or wheat pasta when you can.
Your stomach can hold food the size of your hand. Don't over eat. Put all the food in one plate and don't do seconds.
Tomato salsa is a healthy way to spice things up.

a lot of healthy foods are actually cheap. you just have to prepare them. I cant suggest anything specific, but I know that there are a lot of great online resources for wonderful meals. just do a search for "healthy mexican food" (since mexican food is spicy) or "healthy sweets/desserts" I am sure you will find a lot of good ideas. go to a discount grocery store, like sams club or costco so you can buy in bulks. for fruit I would suggest a local farmers market since you cant buy that in bulks.

Hello ... well, if you like spicy foods, salsa is spicy and can be healthy for you, as it is made from vegetables. For sweet foods, you could always try lighter versions of your favorites, fruits, and replace sugar that you might regularly use in your cooking/baking with sugar substitutes such as Splenda or w/e. =^^=

For sweet food you are pretty much out of luck. You are going to have to train your tongue to enjoy natural foods.
Hot and spicy is another matter all together. Very few spices are overly caloric, so go to town.
