america isnt a christian nation.

Art. 11 of the 1797 treaty With Tripoli

"As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquillity, of Mussulmen; and, as the said States never entered into any war, or act of hostility against any Mahometan nation, it is declared by the parties, that no pretext arising from religious opinions, shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries."

In this category alone, it's so obvious that America is no longer a Christian nation.

When bad things happen, people want to blame God.

When good things happen, these same people take the credit for themselves. Why don't these same people take responsibility when they make mistakes and take the credit for teaching others how to build bombs?

Do you mean like the military??? I don't know what you are talking about. But I guess for the same reason why a "Christian" nation would allow abortions to happen or pornography to flourish. Everyone has the freedom to make a choice.

I didn't know bombs, guns and weapons were a sin to possess and use in warfare?? Do you really think Jesus is a pacifist????

Part of religion is killing and murdering innocent men, women and children. Bombs are very handy for that purpose. Christianity and Islam like to kill their fellow human beings. The current war on terror is just another Holy War.

President George W Bush has made it clear that he reads the Bible, prays to God, and that God told him to invade Iraq. Very recently he referred to the USA’s war against terror as a war against Islamic Fascists. The other side, the Islamic Fascists, of course refer to G W Bush and the USA as Christian Infidel Dogs and so the Holy War of Words goes on, like good Christians at war against the Axis of Evil.

The above is quite mild to all the evil religious words being thrown by each side, but of course, it doesn’t stop there does it. The same sides, Christianity and Islam, are physically at war with each other, murdering innocent men, women and children in the process.

Humanity has a horrific track record of atrocities and killing caused by religion, and this war seems to be no different, just another Holy War in the name of religion, inflicting it’s madness once again onto humanity. Religion is so evil, it has even infected the President of the United States of America.

Since when are we a Christian Nation? I am a born American citizen and I have never been Christian or Catholic or Jewish... etc etc! I am agnostic. Religion does not promote the killing or maiming of people/children and to say so is just horribly wrong. Maybe you should think of a way to rephrase this question as all this one is going to do is get people very angry.
