Tip: rub your hands with half a lemon especially your nails, and then wash your hands ;)

First of all wash them thoroughly using a good soap. The main thing though is to prevent this happening in the first place by wearing rubber gloves when you handle the onions. That way the juices don't get on your hands.

lemon juice. if you dont have any try placing your hands under cold running water and rub a spoon on fingers at same time, i know it sounds crazy but it works
