That is not true. What is true (more or less) is that PRODUCING energy causes pollution. So if you waste it, all that happens is that you are producing pollution and not even getting work out. Power plants become pollution factories and nothing else.

If your car doesn't completely burn the gas then in that case the wasting of energy would cause pollution. Producing energy doesn't necessarily cause pollution nor does wasting energy. If I leave my light on, am I causing pollution, I suppose. It is a drop in a giant bucket though. The air is extremely voluminous and it is cleaned by rain formation as well as other mechanisms. What is often called pollution is usually there to some extent anyway such as ozone and CO2.

Well were still breathing - so we havent created enough pollution from wasted energy. Putting energy to good use kills just as fast.

If we didn't have tree's and photosynthesis we would all be dead by now. Plants filter the air we breath and reproduce oxygen. But as we cut down the rain forests and other plants around the world, the air will get worse and worse. Its why they are starting to realize we DO have global warming. From burning of fossil fuels in power plants, cars, etc plus the fact we keep clearing more n more land around the planet.
