Firstly: You have to make sure that the carpet is aerodynamic, it may have been creased during transportation.
Secondly: the carpet only operates in temperatures above 34 degrees (refer to the book "sight-seeing" by the theif of Baghdad) so try turning up the heating to suit.
Lastly: if you've had it for 1 month then you may want to hoover it before use, this can sometimes clog the ventilaton pores needed for VTOL (Vertical Take Off and Landing).

Ohhh you had the tassels installed. Well there is an Airworthy directive (AD) against those tassels. Now you need to get it to a service center and have the AD complied with. They will remove the defective tassels and install the Mk. 4 silkscreen tassels, which increase lift using the oilamp scale of 1876. Now you might also want to think about getting service bulletin 23 done while you are in the shop. This adds a no-mo-skid layer to the top surface of the carpet to reduce the "fall-off" effect caused by too much velocity.

Are you pronouncing the magic words right?
Also most will fail to take off if you are not sat direcly in the center, this is a health and safety feature built into all newer models.
You may also want to check for holes in the material as this is a well known problem with the ones available on ebay...

Make sure you have filled it up with unleaded and not diesel, failing that check the plugs and points. If all else fails you will have to phone the R.A.C ( Royal Axminster Co.) All the best and safe travelling

You will need the instructions! To cut down on Flying Carpet thefts the makers installed the start button in different places on the mat, all i can tell you is its in the pattern somewhere? The optional corner tassles contain quick release fasteners detach these when racing as they cause significant drag!

You probably got the magic STAIN HIDING carpet, not the magic FLYING carpet. It happens all the time.
If you want this one to fly, wrap it up in a bag, go to the airport, buy a ticket, and board the plane with your bag in hand. In a few minutes, both you and your carpet will be flying.

Magic carpets are a lot like airplanes.
Airplanes need gas or their going nowhere.
Magic carpets need the correct blessing from local High-Prince.
I don't know a High-Prince to help you, sorry.

Yeah, the Mk4's suck.
You need to get the Mk 2000.
Get the tassles though, they help with steering.

Check the ignition thread, if thats not it you might want to make sure the magic dustpump is working. Dont forget to make sure your corner tassles are properly inflated and the hydrulics on them working properly, you wouldnt want any crash landings=)
