my crush is a nerd but nice...i thought. but as i got to kno him better he swears a lot and he doensn't care about anything....at my b-day party...he gave me this cute plushie tiger and i loved it ... i thought ok mabye i do still like him...then he said how he had forgoted alll about my bday and that he found the tiger under a desk, covered in dust in his garage. he doesn't even kno that i liked him...i had my friend tell him... and if i just went up and told him i didin't like him anymore knoing him he would cry. i don't want to make him cry what do i do??

You see this is what I am talking about. People don't really get to know someone. They either fall the outter apperance or fall in lust with somebody instead of falling in love with a person.
If this guy is not the one for you then you have to tell him. No matter what you do it will be hard but it has to come out. You can't stay with someone just to spare there feelings. It doesn't work that way.
I am sorry this guy is so emotional but you be with somebody you are not into, just isn't right or fair to you. Just tell him in a nice way.

I know you don't want to hurt his feelings, but if you are this concerened with how he treats you and if he doesn't care about anything- these are signs to take to heart, and just be honest and tell him what you told us here. I mean, it's better to do it now than prolong it, it just makes everything harder, and I know telling him would be really hard, too, but in the end you'll be better off and will- and you will!!! - meet someone more suited to you. Tell him that you really like him as a friend but you have a lot of personal problems your going through so you need to isolate your self right now because its not fair to bring him down or take your problems out on him being that he is a nice guy. you need your own time to think.

Just be honest with him and don't have other people break up with him thats just messed up and childish just go to him and tell I like hanging out with you but things are not working out between us and I just wanna be friends but nothing more.
