I was reading some website on how to remove sinus infections naturally and it says :

1 Qt. Water (cool water is best; never use HOT water)
1 Heaping Tsp. Pickling Salt
1 Heaping Tsp. Baking Soda
1 Level Tsp. Hydrogen Peroxide

I was wondering if anybody here did this or did something simililair?

the only natural way is to let it run its course

Stick with plain nasal saline purchased in a drug store. It's sterile. Also, if you mix up the recipe above it's going to foam all over the place.. this wouldn't feel very good in your nose!

The water you use for the above recipe could just keep flooding your sinuses with more bacteria.

Use the saline several times a day to keep things moving.. If you can get the mucous out it will relieve the pain. Avoid nasal sprays with decongestants as they will cause a rebound congestion that will make things worse. Do not take a decongestant pill either as this will dry out the secretions. Dry, sticky secretions don't go anywhere and you want them OUT!

Eat a tablespoon of horseradish, a clove of garlic, or hot peppers... anything that is hot enough to make your nose run is helpful as it causes you to naturally flush things out from the inside.

If you are carrying a fever and things are getting worse instead of better see a doctor and get medictions if so advised. Natural is nice... but using natural that isn't working can send you to the hospital... so play it safe.

Ummm.....just what do you DO with the above mixture? I think you might not be very happy if you put sale, baking soda and hydrogen peroxide into your sinuses. It might cause some pretty severe mucosal damage.

Sinus infections are typically caused by obstruction. Something is blocking the normal passage of snot out of the sinuses. You'll have a heck of a time getting anything meaningful to the site of the infection.

You might want to look into sinus surgery if you have recurrent infections.

best thing for sinus infections is definitely saline nose spray. only don't just spray it, lay on your side and drown yourself in it. then eat some hot salsa, drink some hot tea and set up the ps2. works every time.
