They act as if the illegals from Mexico are the only ones in the world suffering... they also seem to want to make Mexico our responsibility.... Champions never runaway from adversity they fight through it... not the same with the illegals they run like cowards... I think it's because they lack the depth of character that black people in America made legendary... so when they make racists slurs against black people they make them against people who did something about their condition instead of running... that is the primary reason I don't support illegal immigrants in any way....

I hope y'all have read some of the statements made by proponents of illegal immigration... again it's always a denial of the facts and statistics which is a grievous insult to our character as the American people... how long will we show partiality to the wicked... we need to get active about enforcing the law for our own well being...

Not to mention they always have an excuse why they run but never a reason to stand up and be counted that is why i think black people have a stronger character... cause they did something about their condition we didn't just all run to Canada some did but not as many as Mexicans running here... why can't they march in Mexico like they march in America... taking advantage of rights that they don't have on the backs of those who fought for civil rights not to exclude anybody but they were in deed predominantly black....

what galls me is all these proponents of theillegalista deny the fact that Black people marched for their rights... we worked hard we still do... it always the mexicans thinking they are better than us... always trying to obfuscate deception by sleight of hand tricks... get it straight Black people did not run from conditions that are far worse than any Mexican will ever experience... marched through horrible acts of hatred that Mexicans will never experience... tolerated things that no human being should have to tolerate... the reason I think it's so easy for the pro illegalista latinos to deny the many accomplisments of blacks is one they lack the conviction two they were probably American anchor children themselves and three they are racist....

If illegals come to a foreign country, where they are taken advantage of and discriminated against they do so of their own free will. Mexico has not gone any where if they are taken advantage of and discriminated against nobody is forcing them to stay. I'd like to see the stats on that. It's been jobs Americans want do, now it's they are taken advantage of and discriminated against. The blacks went through hell in the 50's- 60's and still to this day it goes on.Mexicans are not having their churches bombed, houses burned,it's leaders killed. Mexicans don't have any of that going on.

Because the only people who come here with coyotes, over fences, and by foot are the people who are so desperate, they don't see any other way.

Do you know what the difference between a poor illegal immigrant and poor American living in the US is? The poor American is afforded a host of rights and services that the illegal immigrant is NOT.

Even poor black Americans are still Americans. They still have public schools, they still have the opportunity to get an education. I took advantage of the fact that I could get an education, I worked hard, and I went off to college almost completely scot-free.....

Inner-city kids like I was are often troubled by poverty, violence, and a general hopelessness.... it doesn't mean we don't have to be anything.

I blame TV and the media for it. What you call "Character" in black people, I call a stereotype. It sickens me to watch channels like MTV, UPN, and BET to see such stereotyping of black people.

Bill Cosby's been saying it for years, that a very small minority of black people ruin it for everyone else. That far too many black celebrities play on traditional stereotypes as a way to make a buck.

I'm more annoyed by poor Black people not taking advantage of what few resources they DO have, than by immigrants who have nothing at all...

They're not equal, not at all.
Black Americans are still Americans, they still get rights, and they still get opportunities..... the racism is the same, but at least they have their opportunities.

Because that way, if we disagree with allowing them into the country, it looks like it falls into the "racist" thing.

I have been saying that from the beginning. Illegal immigrants come from all over the world in more colors than the rainbow and more religions than you can shake a cross at.

I think the US is so appealing for illegal immigrants because it appears that we have it "easy" here. It looks like all you have to be is in the US and you are rich and happy. Little do they realize that most everyone in the US has a job of some sort, and they have to work and earn that money they have. It has nothing to do with "making a better life". It has EVERYTHING to do with "making life easier for them".

I think that the illegal immigrants are doing something most people would do. If there is a better place than the one you are currently at that is close by people will try to go there. Right now our government is not doing a very good job of controlling the border so it makes it very easy for the people from Mexico to come here. My big worry is how easy it for a terrorist with a bomb to go to Mexico and then come into America through the border.

EVERYONE in this country is/was at some point an immigrant, illegal or otherwise. THAT'S WHAT MAKES THIS USA!!! Where else in the world (except places that try to copy us) can you find coffee from Columbia, pasta from Italy, Sushi from Japan and a bunch of other ethnic foods ON ONE BLOCK!! Yes, it causes problems that our ELECTED OFFICIALS need to deal with. But step back from your anger and look at what these people are running from and what they are running to. Look at how they live when they are here and look at how they are treated. Could YOU live like that??? I couldn't. The difference is we are lucky enough to get a higher education and don't have to fight for the only jobs they can get in this counrty. Not to mention, when a group of people are suffering, it's hard to feel sympathy for others. Their plight is number one in their minds. Just like our plight (African-Americans) is number one in our mind, Jewish, etc, etc.

Agree. I got into a discussion about this with someone here the other day. She tried to talk about the despiration they feel and that I could not understand. Yes, I could. I have stood in line with my mom for government cheese. I have gone back to school in Goodwill clothes. I had plenty of welfare christmases growing up. I know exactly what it mean to come from sqwaller. So, please do not give me your sob story. I worked my way out of that when I hit my adulthood legally. I have an education I have paid for by myself and now have a good job.

Someone gave an example where he stated "they work in a field for less the minimum wage". That is the exact point. There used to be a legal citizen working in the field being paid over minimum wage. Now he no longer does, how is he supposed to feed his family. He is in this country legally and cannot feed his family so someone that is Illegal can feed his.

Looking over this message posted here, it would appear that your real problem is the Mexicans because you will soon be a minority. No one here is discussing forgetting the plight of the blacks. That's in the a different category on Yahoo.

I am not sure what your point is with blacks and illegals...I don't see illegals as cowards at all....

They risk life and limb to come here, leave their families back home, to seek a better life and support their family....Come to a foreign country, where they are taken advantage of and discriminated against.....I would say that takes character and guts.....

I have NEVER made any racial slurs against blacks, I abhor that, with any minorities....Please stop making generality about these minorities, its really low when you pick on the weak in society.....

Nice dissertation about absolutely nothing. I'm sure it was just horrific for you personally to slave away in the cotton fields of the South. Besides, most of these gringos will side with you against Hispanics but then stab you in the back the first chance they get.
Remember it was they who enslaved your people, not the Mexican.

Yes, they are cowards because they look for a better life. They are cowards because they risk their lives trying to get to the US so they can work under minimum wage and send their pay back to their starving families so that they can buy food and have a roof over their heads. They are cowards because they risk their own lives so that their children may live. Damn yellow-bellies.
