We had a yorkie that just died last week. His name was Doggers.
You could use that name if you want, he doesn't need it any more and it would be nice to know his name had been carried on.

Live with the puppy for a little while before naming him. It'll help to know his personality and any quirks he might have. That should help you pick the perfect name.

check on the iams.com page, they have a pet name finder section, they ask you questions to describe your pet then they give suggestions for names, you can also find other names there and the meaning of each. good luck and enjoy your puppy.
ps if you sign up for their email newsletter, they send tips like potty training, feeding and etc

Go with an original name. A human name that you really admire. Names like fluffy, or things you would not give to a human are just silly. Go with something, like you would name your child.
