Not correct.

Jesus "took-on" the sins of the world, in the way one takes on an opponent. He did not remove all sin.

He asked for people to follow him in order to achieve salvation, what he meant was - everyone take-on (fight against) the sins of the world, and we will have no sin, and live in heaven.

The bible is a children's book, take the Moses leading the Jews into the wilderness for 40 years storey. Do you know how far Israel is from Egypt, at most 330 miles - at 2.5mph for 8hrs a day
it would take 16.5days to walk the journey.

So the question is: What the hell were they doing for the other 39years, 11months and 14days????

Surely stillborns cant go to hell? Its not their fault they're still born.

JFrost says all death is in the hands of God and since stillborn children havent had the chance to lead a life they should go to heaven. As they're born without sin. And the children shall not inherit the sins of the father.

Humanity aint paying for the mistakes of Adam and Eve. It more due to the wager between God and the Devil. The Devil refused to bow to Adam as the other angels did believing Adam to be superior and becoz the devil refused and showed his pride in himself he fell from grace. As such he made a wager with God that he would do everything in his power to lead astray Gods people (mankind) and would see how many stayed faithful to God.

If you were to read the Bible and try to follow or live your life by all that it says you would be screwed from day one - trouble is most people who quote scripture only quote what they choose and this is sort of a contradiction. No one goes to hell, it doesn't exist. Babies and children have no concept of sin, don't know how to. The Bible and religion in general is full of contradiction, the only religion I have any time for is Unitarianism or at a push Quakers. Don't worry about it.

Babies don't go to hell. God is not cruel.
I don't find your question about why we are still suffering for sin offensive. I've wondered about that myself.
The problem seems to be that every single mother's son and daughter of us is born with a very selfish streak, and even though some of us are able to get over it, most don't seem to. The root of all human suffering is greed.

How would God who loves all his children condemn the little ones to hell - that is just not so. As you said our Saviours Jesus Christ died for the sins of all mankind if they would repent and come unto Him. Children in our religion are given a name and blessing, then when accountable for their actions are baptized. Then they have to choose between right and wrong and accept the consequences of their actions.

Do hope this has helped you.

I believe that the bible quoted Jesus saying "Suffer the little children to come unto me". I think that meant all children, stillborn, baptised or not. After all, if babies are not without sin it doesn't leave much for the rest of us, does it?

the hole hell thing was invented by so called christians to keep them in fear and coughing up money. if it wasn't under the guise of religion they would be arrested for fraud. the early christians did not baptise babies. nowhere in the scriptures did jesus baptise a baby they had to be old enough to make the commitment themselves. The question raised in Genesis was between god and the devil. the devil claimed that man would not serve god without condition. if you remember when eve ate the fruit of the forbidden tree she blamed adam. when adam was questioned by god he said it was the woman you gave me passing the buck back to god. it wasn't as if either of them were short of food they had been provided with everything. The serpent asked eve if this god had the right to tell her what to do and that she could have freedom if she ate the fruit. this lead to a power struggle between god and the devil. gods power was not in question he could have crushed the devil but his right to rule was and that is why he had to allow time to show that man would serve him unconditionally and allow the sacrifice of jesus. remember jesus said when on the stake. if you can take this cup away from me, cos he did not want to do it , but let your will take place. unconditional service.

Honey, that's not true. They go back to God. I know there is one religion that tells people that, but they are mistaken. I want to be diplomatic, but that is just such balderdash! Your soul goes back to God if you have not sinned, and little ones do not sin. Look at how much Jesus loves little ones, remember He said if any cause even one of these little ones to sin it would be better if they tied a big stone around their neck and jumped in the deepest part of the ocean. He loves us all, but He especially loves little children..

You can believe the Bible or you can believe what you feel. But who's right?

Psalm 51:5 states that we all come into the world as sinners: "Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me." Ephesians 2:2 says that all people who are not in Christ are "sons of disobedience." Ephesians 2:3 also establishes this, saying that we are all "by nature children of wrath." If we are all "by nature children of wrath," it can only be because we are all by nature sinners--for God does not direct His wrath towards those who are not guilty. God did not create the human race sinful, but upright. But we fell into sin and became sinful due to the sin of Adam.
