My son is going to Iraq shortly. He has a laptop and we'd like to be able to email and webcam with him. Does anyone have info on how to do this? What is the best webcam to get?

Yes, you can use them with dial up. Just get a cheap one. Creative Labs makes one that you should be able to get for under $20...and maybe less if you can get one with a rebate. You may want to get one with a microphone so you can talk to him too! Any microphone that will plug into the jack of your computer or his laptop should work. It will save you lots of money in phone calls! Use Yahoo Messenger and just open a chat box, activate your camera and sound, and you are talking to him. Trust me, it is pretty easy. If I can do it, anyone can. Good luck, and God Bless your son for fighting for our freedom!!!
