I don't think its fair for people to judge how clean my house is based on the idea of perfection. I am a guy and my mom and my girlfriend do not live in my house, so why should I get told my bathroom was messy because i had some toothpaste in the sink or the towel isn't hung up perfectly? I mean isn't that a woman's job? Am I right people???

No that is not a woman's job--unless you live in 1906 instead of 2006. If you are old enough to have your own home than you are old enough to keep it clean. It is a sign not only of respect for yourself but for others who visit. If you don't want to do it hire someone to some in ocassionally.
Plenty of women are busy and are slobs so this is not a contest between the sexes it is about your own standard of cleanliness. Something tells me this is about more than toothpaste and imperfect towels.
Frankly, I get tired of men using the I'm a guy excuse for a lack of personal hygiene or standards. Plenty of men are excellent at and show great pride in keeping a nice home.
If you're a slob that's about you not about being a woman or man. Am I right people???

No your not right in the statement that it is a woman's job, but....
1) Woman are extremely anal when it comes to this kinda thing.
2) Woman should not hold men to the same standard.
3) If your making an effort that should be good enough.
4) Can they change the oil in your car for you? If not then you shouldn't have to clean the toilet.
5) Make the changing oil point to them and see if that helps.

Yes, men should be held to the same standard of cleanliness as women at home and on the job. Absolutely! If you expect a female to keep her place clean, then you should keep your place as clean as you would have it to be in case your wife got sick or decided to leave you. Cleaning house is everyone's job in the West. Hello!

That is right. It's a womans job to keep her house clean. But this is your house. You dirty it so you should clean it. I mean.... how long will you let it get dirty before you think it needs to tidy up? Things get messy, smelly, dusty or just plain icky! Like the kitchen. After a week, your stove will get greasy, so it's time to clean it.
It's just standard cleanliness dude. Come on, there are loads of agencies that you can get to get your house clean.
If you have people over to your place....and they see it's a pigstye.... who do you think their mind will accuse? They will be like... " F@#$%ing Hell... I hope his underpants are cleaner than this sink FFS"
Think about it old chap.

I've seen many girls housekeeping skills. Most are good to ok, a few, model homekeepers. My house is clutterd but clean and yes there may be a stack of dishes in the sink. thats because I run the DW once a week.There is only one person here, so I vacume monthly.
So my answer is: I am sure we are equal, we all know dirty or stinky and clutter not an issue.

Well, those are little things that really don't matter to the normal clean person, it's the disinfecting that matters. Make sure to clean your toilet inside and out,do your dishes,mop,vacuum,dust,and do your laundry-and try to get all the spider webs from your ceilings. Besides that, those white Glover's can kiss your behind. It's not necessary to be like a woman with cleaning but it develops good habits for people around you,especially kids,and it will earn you points with your lady and many others.

Personally speaking,Yeah I think your right on this. If it's just a case of a small mess, like what you've said, then I think they are being too Fussy! If however, your house looks like a tornado ripped through it, thats a whole different ballgame. As far as your mess being a woman's job to clean up, NO, I do not agree with you, sorry, but if you made the mess in your house, you should be the one to clean it up.

Be honest, do you judge a woman by her cleanliness? I think a clean man that can cook is a sexy thing. I don't expet a man to be obsessive compulsive clean , but how sexy is dirty underwear and clothes all over the floor, and a smelly room. I you are a man that is well dressed and is well groomed, it makes you look bad if your place is filthy.

If you are having girls over than a clean bathroom is necessary,because women like clean bathrooms and it wouldn't hurt to keep the rest of the place clean,it tell a lot about you as a person.

No, you're wrong. My husband has always been cleaner than me so your "Woman's Standards" have nothing to do with women, just cleanliness. Plus, keep in mind if you're a total disaster, no woman is going to look at you and want to pick up after your messy *** for the rest of your life. Grow up and pick up your room Mr!
