We fight all the time because we are NOT all the same. We dont believe the same things on some very fundamental issues.
We dont fight violently, we just fight through debate, argument, and friendly disagreements.
And do not assume that one can only be True Friends only with someone who agrees with us.

Not all religions are the same, not totally, some do differ, as far as beliefs. I learned about several different religions one year in high school, and though they each have a similar base, each one is different in it's own way.
But religion isn't the problem, if there wasn't religion, we would just find something else to fight about. The problem is, people always fear what they don't understand. Religion those fall under one of the many things we fight about, but it's just one of the many.

All religions are not the same, brother. If they were, there would be no differences. There would be no "s" on the end of "religion."
I can't answer your question about "can't we stop the fighting?" with anything other than a "no." If we COULD stop the fighting, don't you think we WOULD have stopped it by now?
Moreover, it isn't only for religious reasons that people fight. People fight over all sorts of things.
Who are "we" here? Are you talking about "we" of Yahoo! Answers, or are you talking about "we" of the U.S. vs. "we" of Iraq, or what?
There are many complex issues to many different fights. There is no way to answer this way-general question without more information.

All religions are not the same, so your general assumption is not valid. We (they) fight because of the differences.
Actually, the religious differences are most often the excuse used as to why the people are fighting. Usually the REAL reason is possession of a territory, building, artifact, etc.

Unfortunately there will never be permanent peace. One country will want something from another country and will orchestrate actions until they are at war.
You are seeing that religion is not always what it professes to be.
All religious systems commit the most heinous acts in the name of God.
I stopped believing in any particular religion, but kept my relationship with God.

Religions are not the same. Religion is mans way of transacting with his creator. How one does this is a very precious thing. If you will take the time to listen and understand people of faith you will soon see why they they strive against each other.
This is a large brush to paint with. I still do not understand the inner faith arguments. IE Christian against Christian.
So there
God Bless you

All religions are not the same.
Some think they have the only answer and are willing to fight for their religion.
Try a religion like the Quakers or Buddhist that are not into fighting.

all relegions are not the same, some believe that if you are a good person, you will get to heaven. This is not true, Jesus says "I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man enters unto the kingdom of heaven but by me." You need to accecpt that you are a sinner, that God sent his son Jesus down to die for our sins on the cross. You also need to ask him for forgivness and to come into your heart and your life. Try to let him have your whole heart, and not just a little part. After that, live your life for him, and have a good testimony. You see, not all religions are the same. God would like for you to be nice and a good person, but that will not get you to heaven. You need to ask him to come to into your life.

That would be a good question if the proposition had any truth to it.
Fact of the matter is, all religions aren't the same - most don't even have the same gods.
Eveyone believes they're right, & until they're proven wrong, most won't change their minds.

all religions arent the same.. most christian religions are close but somebody decided a few rules needed to change and convinced others of the same and *poof* a new religion was born(baptist , protestant , etc).. and they all think theirs is the only one that will "go to heaven" and must convert others (or annihilate them) the only way there will be peace is if everyone converted to a peaceful and / or passive religion ( buddhist, hinduism , paganisn , or a native american religion , etc ) .. you know the "heathen" religions.. how ironic
