Tell her not to care about what he thinks - seriously she is doing something good for herself - she should be proud of that. Just don't tell him - it's none of his beeswax!

Tell him the truth if he asks. After knowing, it won't seem as weird to him as trying to figure it out himself... just saying that she's making sure (or "I'm", if she's the one who says this) she's on top of things will tone down any questions he might have. Hope I helped, and good luck. ;]

P.S. I know what you mean by "getting help, but not mentally challenged"... some people say that (mentally challenged) because they don't have any other words to use. They're right, to a point, but it's a lot less of a problem than "mentally challenged" makes it sound like. :]

If he really is a friend, it shouldn't brother him. Some people need extra help in school. I'm dyslexic and back when I was in grade school I needed to have a tutor out side of school.

not sure what she should be worried about, but it seems you're saying she gets tutoring......if I hadn't had my Mom to help & keep after me in school I wouldn't have done as well.....some of us
need help in some subjects...doesn't mean we're stupid....some teachers just can't get their message across well, while a tutor may explain it in a better way for that individual.

It is okay to get extra help in classes there is nothing wrong with that . He can get a helper to help him study.

she doesnt need to worry about it. If he says something bad about it, he is not a true friend.

Tell him if he asks. It's not really his business.
